Kida:
I was unconscious. Everything was dark and my body felt heavy when I tried getting anywhere. Sometimes I could hear my family talk to me, sometimes I couldn't. I tried holding on to those moment where I could and come back to them but it was so difficult. It was like swimming through really thick glue and you forgot to take a deep breath before you went in.
One day the glue seemed less thick and there was some sort of light. I tried remembering the voices of my family tell me to come back, tried to fight what was holding me back and somehow, I started to notice smells, I could hear machines beeping beside me and there was no doubt I was back. I could sense it wasn't night anymore, it was bright daylight and yet I was so exhausted I felt like going back to sleep. I started to think the night's events through. I was dark, cold... I was flying through the air with absolutely crazy speed. I cried and screamed in pain. Why had this happened? Then sleepily I reached for my stomach. It was no longer as round and big as before. I felt the panic rise and my eyes opened wide. I sat up in bed and felt the tears running down my cheeks. Where was my baby? I looked around and saw Piccolo stand by the window with his back turned to me. It was impossible to see his face.
"Piccolo?"
He looked over his shoulder with surprise in his eyes. He smiled, looked down and then slowly turned around. In his arms he held a tiny namekian looking child. The child had antennas, pointed ears, the green skin, but no heavy eyebrows and it had dark brown hair. I looked at him with anxiety written all over my face. He then looked up again and smiled.
"It's a girl" he said with pride in his voice.
I stretched out my arms so I could hold my baby. He slowly gave her to me, like he was afraid she might break. In his arms she seemed so small, but in mine she was a regular sized baby. I counted her fingers and her toes, ten of each, checked that everything about her was right. Piccolo sat down at the side of my bed. He kissed my forehead and looked at me and our baby girl.
"You took your time" he whispered.
"I'm sorry. It was so hard to get back. Have I been gone for long?"
"No, about a day I think. But it's hard to stay patient when I just wanted to see you eyes open again and see your reaction to our daughter" He said softly and stroke our girl's cheek with his index finger.
"I didn't mean to keep you waiting" I said and leaned up against him "so... What happened?"
His face darkened "You were in pain and I took you to the hospital. It was clear the baby was coming and they took you to surgery to do a caesarean. She was trying to get out through your stomach"
I looked at him with a confused look "But... Why?"
"She was in an egg. Somehow she has formed a shell inside and tried to break it inside of you"
"Wow... That explains the pain" I said and looked at my newborn.
"We just need to name her you know"
"You haven't named her?" I asked surprised.
"No, I'd wait for you to wake up to do it with me"
I smiled and looked at him "What do you think daddy?"
He smiled back "I've been thinking of Aya. It means beautiful"
"That's perfect" I said and kissed him "What did I ever do to deserve you?"
"You were there through everything" he said and kissed me again.
As we broke apart a doctor came in, followed by a nurse. I had no clue who he was, but on the other hand: Piccolo and Aya was the only two I had seen since I had opened my eyes which wasn't very long ago.
"Alright Kida, good to see you're up and awake. Let's change those bandages"
"Bandages?" I already forgot they had performed a caesarean on me.
"From your caesarean" he said with a gentle smile.
"Oh right" I said and handed Aya to Piccolo so I could lift my shirt, flashing my stomach.
There was a huge patch across my tummy and I wondered, with a wound that big, why didn't it hurt?
They slowly pulled it off, trying not to hurt me.
"Now, I know it can hurt but don't worry, you'll get something for the pain in a minute" The doctor said.
I looked at him with a confused look "But... It doesn't. It doesn't hurt at all"
Then I realised why it didn't hurt and looked at Piccolo *Dende?* I asked mentally.
He nodded *Dende*
*Thank you love* I gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
"Now what is this?" The nurse said with surprise in her voice.
"What's wrong?" The doctor asked.
"Her... Her wounds doctor... They're healed!"
"Healed? What nonsense, that is not possible!" He said and came to take a look.
I looked down: The wound was healed but the stitches were still there. It was looking weird and there was no scar at all.
"Unbelievable..." the doctor whispered and I couldn't help smiling.
"Maybe you should just take out the stitches doc" I said and stroke a hand across my still slightly swollen stomach.
They did as I asked them to and as they did Daiki came in.
"Mom, you're up" He said with a smiled and went to kiss me on the cheek.
"Hi my dear" I said and couldn't help smiling. It was so good to see him again.
"So, when are they releasing you?" He asked and looked as they took out the last stitches.
"With your mother's amazing skills to heal she is good to go" The doctor said and smiled "I'll sign you out"
"So you're free to go?" Daiki asked and picked up Aya. He looked at her with such affection and love I was sure he'd be a wonderful big brother to her.
"Yes, I am" I said and looked at Piccolo as I crawled out of bed "Clothes beam me please"
He smiled and did as I asked him to. He gave me a pair of jeans and a simple red top, just as he knew I liked it.
I got up and went to Daiki and Aya to give them a hug "Let's go home"
